Born and raised in Kaduna, Nigeria Lisa Yaro's love for music is palpable with every poignant release. As a songwriter, her hard work paid off when her songs were acknowledged for a Grammy Nomination with Mya for Best R&B album “Smoove Jones”. She is an Independent Artist who is the owner and CEO of her music label called Music Corner LLC. In Lisa’s music, her roots shine through as the songwriter wonderfully weaves in African Music and rhythms with modern American Music. Her ear for perfection is evident in every song she has released, dance rhythms and energetic passion is on full display. Memorable and moving she crafts music that will get you grooving and remain stuck in your mind immediately after listening. After making waves with her latest single “Yaro” featuring Zlatan (currently on rotation at BET Jams, Revolt TV, BET Soul, and Apple Music), as well as her previous singles "Domitilla" featuring Mayorkun, and "Biko". Lisa was named one of the 10 Rising Afrobeats Artists by the Grammy Recording Academy, along with the likes of Asake. She has recently appeared on tour in sold out venues across the US with Afrobeats artists Flavour and Asake; Yaro performed at the 2023 AFRIMMA Awards Show in Dallas Tx. She is also a personality on the weekly radio show called Afro Flava, as well as co-hosted SummerStage NYC. Yaro is regularly mentioned along the names of other Afrobeats female artists and is growing her fanbase with fresh new tracks.
